Apart from entertainment joints, there are other places the government has advised Kenyans to keep off after the first case of coronavirus was confirmed in Kenya.
Such include,
Overnight vigils (kesha), political rallies etc.
Other activities that mainly include large gatherings and may be advisable to suspend include
Book clubs.
Movie clubs.
Hiking clubs.
Sports clubs and dance clubs.
Corona first started from China’s Wuhan, It has killed more than 5,000 people and infected thousands.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe asked Kenyans to stay at home incase they felt sick.
‘STAY at home if you feel unwell with symptoms like fever, cough and difficulties in breathing, .’
Mutahi also suspended also directed PSVs to provide hand sanitizers for passengers.
The government has ordered all matatus to be washed daily to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The seats must be disinfected in the morning and at night. Drivers and conductors will also undergo training on coronavirus.
Transport CS James Macharia said the Health Ministry will conduct training at bus stops from 10am to 4pm.
“Public transport carries more than 90 per cent of the population. That is why we are giving public transport special focus and attention.
A problem affecting the transport sector will have a great impact on all other sectors,” he said.
