Supporters of Ngei Ward MCA Redson Otieno popularly known as Recky broke in song and dance after provisional results indicated that he is leading the race.
The supporters who were outside St. Teresa’s Girls High School expressed their happiness saying Recky deserved it.
“We are here expressing our support for our MCA Recky kwa sababu tunasema ngumi ni mbwegze (translation for we are giving him 10 more years).

If declared the winner, Recky will serve his electorates for the second term.
The MCA was first elected on an ODM ticket in 2017. The 2022 nominations saw him fight harder for the ticket after the exercise was repeated by ODM following complaints.
In Mlango Kubwa Ward, Susan Makungu of UDA is leading in a closely contested race with Jubilee’s Patricia Mutheu.
