The pickup version of the Hummer EV began production back in 2021, its time for the standard SUV to join the party, with mass production beginning at Detroit’s Factory Zero.
The very first unit with VIN 001 just left the factory and was auctioned off for $500,000. Reservations for the Edition 1 Hummer SUV opened in 2021, they sold out with a starting price of $105,595.
Now that production has kicked off, the first deliveries are scheduled for the end of this quarter. Higher output is expected in the second half of this year, but no specific figures were provided.
The Hummer EV SUV is built alongside the pickup version, the Chevrolet Silverado EV, and the GMC Sierra EV since all of these vehicles share the same Ultium EV platform. GMC previously stated that it had received over 90,000 reservations for the Hummer EV, with approximately 50-60% of those being the pickup variant.
