It is that time of the year again when manufacturers are lining up to release their new flagships. OPPO has already shown a few of their cards, releasing to their Chinese audience their next generation of foldable devices, and according to a new leak on Weibo, they will soon follow it up with their next conventional flagship the Find X6 series.

The Find X6 series will reportedly have three models and will be officially unveiled in the first weeks of February, most likely after the hype of the new Galaxy S23 series from Samsung has started to subside. Interestingly, there will be two Pro models and a vanilla version of the Find X6.

The first Pro version will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the second one will be rocking the Dimensity 9200. The base Find X6 on the other hand will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Having two Pro versions would normally indicate similar levels of performance, but that does not appear to be the case here. The Pro version rocking the 8 Gen 2 chipset appears to get slightly better hardware across the device, including being the only one among the three models to have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

We see the same story in the camera setup, while all three models will have a triple 50MP camera set-up, the 8 Gen 2 variant gets better sensor combinations rocking Sony’s IMX989, the famous 1-inch sensor while the other two get the older IMX890.

To further differentiate them, the Dimensity powered one will have the IMX890 sensor used in all three sensors at the back while the vanilla model will juggle things up using the IMX890 for the main, ISOCELL JN1 for the ultra-wide and IMX763 for the telephoto. On the selfie side, the three models will rock the same RGBW IMX709 sensor with a 32MP resolution

Taking a look at the form factor, the vanilla Find X6 having a 6.74” AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate is the smallest of the three. The two Pro models boast a 6.82” AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate, complete with 5,000 mAh batteries capable of 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The vanilla version has to do with a smaller battery rated 4,800 mAh which can support 80W wired and 30W wireless charging.

With a launch expected in China in early February, the global launch of the Find X6 series should soon follow in the next few months.
