President Uhuru Kenyatta is among several key leaders in the country who are attending the anti-corruption conference in Nairobi.
Others at the meeting, that came amid Kenya’s heightened war against the vice, are Deputy President William Ruto and Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga.
Attorney General Kihara, Chief Justice David Maraga and Senate Speaker Kenneth Marende are also attending the conference.
Speakers at the meeting gave private and public sector reports on the vice, discussing subjects including what constitutes corruption and ways in which the public and authorities can cooperate in order to tame it.
The two-day conference ends on Friday.
Key authorities in Kenya’s anti-corruption war are the government, the Judiciary and agencies such as the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
On Thursday, the Judiciary was once again on the receiving end for being a stumbling block in the fight against corruption.
During the first day of the National Anti-Corruption Conference at Bomas of Kenya, the multiagency team headed by AG Kihara talked tough against corruption, warning those engaging in the vice that they will not enjoy their ill-gotten proceeds.
He accused the Judiciary of being a deterrent instead of an enabler in the war.
