NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 29 – Kitui County Senator Enoch Wambua has been ranked as the top performing Senator in the country at 73.2 percent.
According to a study by Politrack Africa, Meru Senator Kathuri Murungi came second with a rating of 72.8 percent, followed by Nyandarua Senator John Methu at 71.1 per cent and Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale at 70.9 per cent.
“Moses Kajwang Senator for Homabay County came fifth with a rating of 68.2 per cent, followed by Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruyiot with 68.0 per cent, then Kiambu Senator Karugo Thang’wa with 67.5 per cent and Ali Bora the Senator for Mandera County with 67.3 per cent,” read the report.
In the list of the top 20 performing senators, Vihiga Senator Geofrey Osotsi came the last with a performance rating of 60.1 per cent, followd by Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka with 60.5 per cent then Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei with 61.2 per cent rate.
The interviewed covered all the 47 counties with a sample size of 4,801 people.
The interviews were conducted via telephone at the household level with a margin error of +/ – 1.254% at 95% confidence level.
The research was carried out on 14th to 31st of August 2023.
