Wakanda Forever drops on 11th November 2022.

Marvel has released the highly anticipated sequel for Black Panther set in the African corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The trailer features futuristic images of Wakanda’s seas, technology and what appears to be a large funeral with the Wakandans dressed in white, indicating the actual tragic passing of Black Panther’s star Chadwick Boseman. A synopsis of the film states that the characters “must fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.”

The music that accompanies the powerful footage of the trailer begins with a cover of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” and concludes to the tune of Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright.”  Many familiar faces from Black Panther, return in Wakada Forever. They include Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Danai Gurira as Okoye, and Letitia Wright as Shuri. It still isn’t clear who will take on the mantle of the Black Panther. A figure is seen in the hero’s suit at the end of the trailer, though it isn’t clarified who is in the costume.
