Traffic police cleared all the roads leading to EACC from Wilson Airport citing security reasons.
The road from Sagret Hotel to opposite Panafric remained closed for several hours.
Two police water canons, synonymous with riots, were seen making rounds at Integrity Centre.
Anti-riot police officers also patrolled the environs, ready to thwart any attempts by sympathizers to take to the streets in protest over Sonko’s arrest.
Nairobi Regional Commander Philip Ndolo is in-charge of the police operation.
