The last few months have been a little rough for leading Bongo actress Wema Sepetu.
The actress has had her intimate video leaked, her Instagram account hacked, court cases and the Tanzanian government recently ‘stopped her bags.’
In October, the Tanzanian Government through its Film Classification Board banned the actress from taking part in any film-related activities.

The regulatory body disclosed that the ban will be lifted once it became satisfied that Wema had changed her ways. The ban came after an intimate video of the endowed actress made its way online.
After taking a brief hiatus from social media, Wema Sepetu is back and looking very different from the Wema we know.

The actress has lost a lot of weight and also shaved her head. Her new look has raised eyebrows and many fans have taken to social media to comment on her new appearance.
“Looking great though it’s a huge drastic change.. As long as your happy that’s what important,” one fan wrote while another added “Ila mbona kama unazidi kukondeana kwann?????”

Pressure from fans
Wema’s weight loss comes after years of being on the receiving end of fans’ criticism over her weight gain.
At some point, she caved to the pressure and even hit the gym but later stopped. Wema revealed that she has been trying to cut some weight since then but there was some medicine that she was on that stalled her progress.
She didn’t get into specifics about what illness she is suffering from or what medicine she was taking, she just posted “Yaani mi sielewi jmn…Dawa zinaniponza mie… Na naziacha…”
