Kenyan actress Catherine Kamau alias Kate Actress is demanding justice over the murder of a Mary Leakey high school student after she turned down sexual advances.
Valerian Njeri was stabbed to death five days ago by a form three boy after she said NO to his advances.
Taking to her social media Kate Actress wrote,
‘This is the story! Njeri your death is not invain, we must fight for justice, what are we teaching our sons? Where is this self entitlement coming from?
Taking another persons life because they said NO? It’s ENOUGH! #EndFemicide now! We are not requesting we are Demanding!’
Police accounts say Njeri had returned a Chemistry book she had borrowed from the boy when he started making sexual advances at her. She refused and a fight ensued.
She overwhelmed him and when she tried running away, he used the knife he was using to chop French beans to stab her.
The knife broke and Njeri was still breathing. He rushed to the kitchen, grabbed another knife and delivered more blows.
“He dragged the body under his bed where it remained overnight,” said Naivasha DCI Chief Kenneth Njoroge.

During the incident in Mirera estate 20km from Naivasha town, the suspect would later meticulously clean the room and the body, drag it under the bed and later share a meal with his family.
He returned to his room, with the body still under the bed and waited for his parents to sleep.
Slightly before dawn, it is believed that he woke up, dragged the body and placed it outside.
When his parents woke up, a few minutes after Sam on Friday, he had already disposed of the body. She will be buried on Thursday 5th at their home in Mirera.
