States Of America Jill Biden to Kenya where she was received by her Kenyan counterpart Racheal Ruto when Raila Odinga has declared street demos against William Ruto’s government had one pregnant statement, that the Americans have confidence in Ruto’s regime.
The American message being that if the super power can deal with Ruto and support him, why not Kenyans themselves.
To complicate matters is the fact that Flotus was hosted by Flok on matters relating to table banking in Raila’s own stronghold of Kibera, normally referred to as Baba’s bedroom. The two-hour long meeting was held in Kibera Huduma Centre offices at DC. Here the Americans literally pushed the war to Raila’s doorstep to clearly show that all is well, as no demos were held by Raila supporters to oppose her visit.

America bankrolls Ruto to tame opposition moves – Weekly Citizen

Rachel Ruto and Jill Biden

Tellingly, Jill’s visit came after that of France minister for Trade, Economic Affairs and French National Abroad, Betcht Oliver. The two visits cannot be downplayed in political interpretation and significance, more so, when the opposition is crying over what they call killing of democratic space by the new Nairobi regime, and the alleged stolen elections.
In many cases, the visit has helped Ruto silence the opposition onslaught against his regime. It has worked well for Ruto not only in local politics but also on the international front. Remember, Raila has always claimed that the Western capitals imposed Ruto’s presidency on Kenyans with America being the first one the list.
Word has it that by declaring street protests that hit headlines in print and electronic media just hours before Jill arrived in Kenya, the opposition wanted her to skip the Kenya tour that had be planned months back after Ruto visited America. Political analysts say, if due to opposition pressure the visit was cancelled, the future of Ruto’s presidency would have hanged in the balance, more so, that he is sidelining China.

Weekly Citizen has established that America, Britain and other western countries have been engaging Raila and his opposition troops of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc’s Martha Karua and Dap-K’s Eugene Wamalwa.
The Western capitals who are holding Ruto hostage as they use him to fight China and other Eastern influence, not only in Kenya, but also in the Great Lakes Region are the ones who prevailed upon Ruto to have leaders elected under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance to support plans to reintroduce the office of the official leader of the opposition.
The alliance is sponsoring amendment of various laws, among other things, to create the office of opposition leader.
Americans want the opposition office made for Raila on grounds, Raila factor cannot be relegated to the periphery in Kenya politics.
Americans are aware that Ruto won narrowly with 51pc against Raila 49pc and if Ruto administrations is shaky, the opposition can easily capitalise on it to bring him down. The office of the opposition leader will have full staff duly paid and facilitated by taxpayers.
The Americans recogonise Raila’s influence and past achievements through holding rallies that can be violent if not well handled by the establishment as it has been the case before.
We could not establish if it is true, as part of the plot to have Raila accept the official opposition slot, that Western capitals had African Union terminate Raila’s contract as the commission’s representative for infrastructure development in Africa.
The ODM leader insists he asked to be relieved of his duties, and indicated the challenges to his continued availability for the role of AU High Representative, fresh details are emerging that America wanted Raila out to accept the opposition role.
To them, Raila duties at AU were giving him a fall back office. The ODM leader was relieved duties in a letter by the chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, dated February 19, where Mahamat said the African Union Development Agency – New Partnership for Africa’s Development (Auda-Nepad) – would take over the role. Many however can not be convinced that this was not a sack orchestrated by Ruto using the African presidents’ club.
It is now emerging that the United States, which became the first non-African country to establish a diplomatic mission to the African Union in 2006 dubbed the United States and African Union Commission had a hand.
After Raila, word has it, that America and its western sympathisers will go for Uhuru Kenyatta removal as chairman of DR Congo peace talks on grounds that he is favouring president Felix Tshisekedi side in the peace process. The DRC president is close to Raila. DRC is fighting M23 rebels who are waging war in the East against the Kinshasa government.
America’s concern and that of France is that Ruto allies led by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua claim that the Kenyatta family is funding current demonstrations spearheaded by the ODM leader.
Weekly Citizen has information that just like America is helping Ruto fight Al-shabbab, and also offering support to combat the recent launched North Rift banditry attacks, they are also helping Ruto navigate his new months in power to counter opposition moves as the Kamagut-born chicken-seller who became president consolidates his grip on power.
