Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus and Portugal forward, made a massive statement after scoring his 700th career goal on Monday night, October 14, at NSK Olimpijs Kiev.

Reacting moments after the contest, the ex-Real Madrid and Man United star, stressed that it is no longer strange for him to set new standards.

“How many records do I have? I don’t know. I have to enjoy the moment and thank those who helped me reach this impressive mark. The last time I played at this ground I won the Champions League, a beautiful moment that is in the past. Today we played well but couldn’t win. Interestingly, Portugal’s defeat was the Selecao first defeat since the FIFA World Cup in Russia, but Ronaldo has shown age is no barrier as he continues to net easily even in his 30s.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is among those who believe Ronaldo can still play at tope level at least until he is 37.

The Juventus forward started his professional career at Sporting Lisbon when he was 16 before leaving the club for Manchester United in 2003.
