Robbers raided a home in Kandakame, Kithimu sub-location, and clobbered its owners to death on Monday night. Joseph Gitonga, 37, and his wife Caroline Kaari, 30, were traders.
Area Chief Albert Njiru said four assailants entered Gitonga’s home and demanded money from his wife before assaulting her.
Embu County Police Commander Daniel Rukunga said the gang waited for Gitonga to arrive home and beat him up.
