Azimio la Umoja presidential running mate Martha Karua maintains the August 2022 presidential polls was manipulated in favour of President William Ruto.

In a series of tweets she shared on Sunday, the veteran politician adds it’s time for Kenyans to know the truth about the polls.

She also made a call for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers to be opened for public scrutiny.

“As citizens, we have a right to information, the truth lies in the servers, those doubting the whistle-blower’s data should demand servers be laid bare, we have to get to the bottom of this to free Kenya once and for all from electoral deceit.”

She added: “IEBC as the duty bearer holds the records on our behalf. The records belong to us and each and every office exercises ALL power on our behalf, wherever you are, whoever you ARE listen and do what the constitution sanctions, lay bare the servers!”

Karua spoke ahead of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s return from South Africa.

Odinga met South Africa’s president Cyril Ramaphosa while in Johannesburg and is expected in Nairobi on January 23, 2023.

Upon arrival, Odinga, who also maintained his victory was stolen in the recent poll, is primed to address a rally in Nairobi so as to ‘share a way forward’ amid revelations by a supposed whistleblower who suggests the Azimio presidential team beat President Ruto by more than 2 million votes in the August 2022 polls.
