Raila Odinga staunch ally James Orengo now says he’s ready to work closely with President William Ruto for development purposes.
The Siaya governor has also invited the head of state to visit the region.

“I welcome him because County and national government are interdependent and should cooperate, ” Orengo declared.
He however maintains that the ground rule guiding his relationship with Ruto is purely development devoid of politics.
Orengo said voters in the region still seek political direction from Raila.
Keen observers would agree that Ruto has embarked on courting Nyanza and Western regions to neutralise Mt. Kenya ahead of 2027 general elections.
